LipomaLipoma is a benign fatty tissue that is not inherently dangerous, but it needs attention and should be cut off on occasion when lipoma begins to increase.

Lipomas are characterized by:

  • usually located just below the skin of the neck, shoulder, back or abdomen in the front wall, arm or thigh
  • soft at the touch
  • usually small to 5 cm in diameter
  • Sometimes it can be painful if it grows bigger.
