Lipoma is a benign fatty tissue that is not inherently dangerous, but it needs attention and should be cut off on occasion when lipoma begins to increase.
Lipomas are characterized by:
- usually located just below the skin of the neck, shoulder, back or abdomen in the front wall, arm or thigh
- soft at the touch
- usually small to 5 cm in diameter
- Sometimes it can be painful if it grows bigger.
